Boris Petrovich Sveshnikov was born in Moscow in 1927. Studied at MIPIDI 1943-46 (until arrested). Active in prison camp, Komi Autonomous Republic, 1946-54; Tarusa, Kaluga reg., 1954-57 (early 60s ?); Moscow from 1957. Began exhibiting no later than 1969. Also a graphic artist. Made celebrated series of drawings while in prison camp early 1950s; NONCONFORMIST ARTIST 1960-80s.
